Cousins at Play

Cousin Layla visited Daniel and Sofia this past Saturday. And as an added bonus - the mommies and daddies got to chat while all three kids took a long nap in the afternoon.

It's a Boy!

So it turns out that Truffle, our cat, whom we thought was female, is actually male. The vet said it's very hard to tell with fluffy cats, but it was still surprising, given the fact that we brought the cat to the vet last year (a different doctor evaluated our feline). We think he's taking it well and forgives us.

20 pounds!

Sofia tipped the scales yesterday at 20 pounds. That's quite an improvement from her less than 1.5 lb start 15 months ago. She's over her last batch of trachietis and is basically a happy (and plump) baby!

Daniel is lagging 1.5 pounds behind but is continuing to get taller. He's very active so is burning up those calories fast despite all we try to get him to eat. He's more talkative than ever (mostly babble though) and standing up a lot on his own.

Update

The kids are still enjoying all of their new toys post-Christmas. Sofia came down yet again w/ tracheitis and had a few plugs in her trach which required some emergency bagging but she's recovering from it now. We've gotten a bit of snow which has caused a few hour gaps of nursing each day. Nothing huge but combined with Sofia sick, Daddy stayed home this weekend instead of going to a friend's wedding.
