Happy Easter!

The kids got things rolling for Easter with their new camping chairs. They probably won't be camping for a while, (definitely not with Mommy who doesn't like it!) but they seem to be having a lot of fun in them. We also dyed eggs this morning and a had a small "hunt" before going to church. No nurse today so Sofia was with the grownups upstairs wandering around and playing with everything.

Daddy made a special dessert today and so as not to waste our hard-boiled eggs also made deviled eggs as a snack.

Preschool Set

Mommy and Daddy both went to the kids' PPTs today where we met with all of the various specialists (OT, PT, Special Ed, Speech, School Nurse) to start coming up with a plan for the fall. I'm happy to say both kids will be attending our town's special pre-school program which is great because we both strongly believe that early intervention will help them and we, of course, want to keep them together.

Up next is Sofia's three day visit to CHOP in an attempt to diagnose better whether she has a reflux issue and to come up with a surgical reconstruction plan (second try!) between their airway team and her current team at Yale. We've got a lot riding on this one! It's going to be pretty hard logistically to get the kids there but we know we need to do whatever it takes...

Haircuts

Sofia and Daniel both got haircuts at home yesterday which was a bit traumatic for them. This was Sofia's first trim. They recovered and were happy after naps in the afternoon.

Breakfast with Elmo

Mommy and Daddy took the kids to a pancake breakfast with Elmo on Sunday. Daniel was a little afraid of the red monster but Sofia was happy enough to stand next to him for a picture. She was a little under the weather after a stomach bug hit her on Saturday. Not too many pancakes were consumed by the Yang children but they did have fun listening to the music and stories.
