14 Weeks Old

Sofia and Daniel are 14 weeks old today. Daniel is now taking all his food by bottle and working on trying not to drop his oxygen saturation while eating. Here he is sleeping in his crib today. Sofia has not had an episode of seizures since Tue night. The MRI did reveal that a small part of her brain was affected by the asphyxia, but the results will most likely be mild. We will just have to wait and see. The neurologists expect the seizures and trembling to dissipate over the next week or so. They are keeping her at a stable level of medication for now. Next week, they may re-engage the ENT doctors to discuss the plan for her tracheostomy.

Hi Christi and Ted,
It sounds like you've had some recent struggles, but some exciting news as well. I was so happy to read that Daniel is getting ever so close to coming home.
I will continue my prayers for each of you as the days continue to pass, and Daniel and Sofia continue to fight this battle.
As always, if we can do anything to help you at all please don't hesitate to call or email.
You're in our thoughts, and prayers.

I LOVE this picture. And of course we are relieved to hear about a bit of progress for Sofia. Sending love and strength to all four of you.

Daniel,
You look like a young man who is ready to go home and watch Giants football with his Dad. Sofia, we think of you and your brother every day and Grandmommy and I consider you and your cousin to be so precious. Love, granddaddy Ralph

Ted,

I haven't seen you in years; but, I wanted you to know that I read the blog and pray for your children every day.
