Daniel is now on CPAP and doing well with the changeover. Sofia, however, had more difficulty breathing today and her ventilator settings were increased to a rate of 20 and a pressure of 22. Both settings are usually around 16 before the doctors attempt extubation. Rather than have her struggle even though her blood gas was ok, they increased the settings to help her breathe and grow.
