5 Weeks Old

It's hard to believe that Daniel and Sofia are 5 weeks old. Both were weaned today on the ventilator settings and are requiring less oxygen than yesterday so there is certainly an improvement. Both are also now over 2 pounds. Again, the recent weight gain is probably fluid retention and the doctors will evaluate whether to give them diuretics. Sofia is 960 grams (2 lbs 2 oz) and Daniel is 1010 grams (2 lbs 3 oz). Mommy kangarooed with Sofia today.
